My name is Pietro Fanti and I'm a multidisciplinary artist based in Milan. My practice investigates the role of images in the digital era and the contradictory relationship between photography and memory — treating the photographic image not as a transparent document of reality, but as a space for speculation, invention, and empathy. Research is central to my work, which moves between traditional photographic processes and contemporary digital tools such as photogrammetry and digital archiving.
Education
2025 - MA in Photography from Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan. Graduated with honours.
2021 - BA in New Technologies for the Arts from Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan. Graduated with honours.
CURATORIAL
2025–2026 — Co-curator and participating author, 50 e 50, la mostra, with Giovanna Calvenzi, Cristina Selva and Tiziana Ricci. A multimedia exhibition celebrating 50 years of Radio Popolare, presented at Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan (>20,000 visitors) and the European Parliament, Strasbourg.
